Inflation bad news for struggling families - UNISON

UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis said:

“This is more bad news for the many families across the UK who are struggling to make ends meet.

“For public service workers who have had their pay frozen for nearly three years and for the millions of unemployed, any increase in inflation will hit their family finances hard.

“With rail fares set to soar well above inflation, UNISON is calling on the the government to think again. The Olympics have given the country a real boost, it is time for the Government to give the economy the boost it needs to build a more secure future.”
